This is what my bird Sunny does when I set an unfamiliar object near him.
He's like "OMG what is THAT! AHHH!"
and I'm like "Sunny, it's a goldfish cracker, eat it"
and he's like "AHH! get it away!!!"
and so I take a small bite out of it and say "See? it's FOOD"
and he'll be like, "Oh....cool" and then he'll eat it.

Wierdo.

Omg too funny... Birds are so interesting... I forget sometimes they don't see like we do and what doesn't freak us out totally freaks them out. My quaker parrot, Jack, anytime he sees I have food he's immediately over on my lap like, "whatcha got there?!". I try to give him fruit all the time and for some reason he never wants it..thinking it's because it's cold. I don't know but even if I have the same fruit he has to check to make sure I'm not cheating him by eating something else!
