PFF2 Ch3 Scene97
Plight of the Freedom Fighters 2
Chapter 3, Scene 97
It had been a long, sweltering, stinky walk from the yawning harbor up to the capital city; Jet figured it must have been a three-hour trek, if not longer, due in no small part to the shuffling, congealed mass of delegates and nobles. The mass had cleared up the closer they had drawn to the capital city - traversing the winding path that curved up the side of the dormant volcano whose crater housed the Fire Nation's heart of power. And though he and Longshot had been standing that entire time, even though so many of his muscles yearned for a good half-hour sit break, what really made the pending conclusion to this long wait worthwhile was the fact that the stench of their 'peers' didn't hammer in from all sides.
Seriously. Jet knew it was hard to stay clean while traveling across any significant body of water, but did these people even try?
At the head of the line - just a few minutes away, thank the Spirits - a

"And now," Aang continued, "I will open the floor for any delegate who will submit a petition for special immediate consideration before this assembly."
Caught off guard the majority of delegates look at each other in abject confusion. Opening remarks to any diplomatic assembly, but particularly this assembly, the international relations' hullabaloo of the decade, deserved a lengthy address of suitable grandeur, bursting at the seams with high-flying rhetoric and overdrawn metaphor, larded with phrases such as "enhancing political and security dialogue" and "important progress" and "emphasizing confidence-building." "Avatar Aang " Minister Iroh, party to the Avatar's gambit and thus taking the lead before anyone else might catch on, rose from his seat on the dais and executed an almost-perfunctory bow. "The delegation of the Fire Nation respectfully requests to

On the dais, Iroh folded his hands into his sleeves and glanced at his nephew, who watched Jet with an inscrutable expression on his face.
A Fire Nation general in full dress uniform, seated at the front of the center section, rose to his feet and addressed Jet, his voice rising above the growing tumult as it likely had over many a pitched battle: "If what you're saying is true, that these villages are so insignificant they're being destroyed without anyone noticing, by some 'mysterious enemy' that leaves no evidence behind, how are we supposed to believe that this is actually happening? Do you honestly expect us to take your word for it?" Pausing, aware that every eye in the chamber was fixed on him, he sneered, delivering the coup-de-grace. "'Freedom Fighter

Chapter 4, Scene 105:
Opening the case, Longshot handed Sokka a small bundle of slender, hip-high poles footed with three folding legs, surmounted by red, Fire sigil-emblazoned discs the size of his hand. The archer took up a similar sheaf, these topped with large green squares etched with the design of the Earth Kingdom. The two men nodded to each other, and moved out over the map, tryng to ignore the rising babble of curious onlookers.
Jet, stalling for time as Longshot and Sokka set up the markers, looked up at Zuko. "And if the Fire Lord would be so kind, I'd like to use this lovely map here," he drawled, gesturing to the shimmering tiles at his feet.
Zuko dead-panned. "Since you're already decorating it, I don't see why not," he replied with a sigh.
